Fair Use Policy
Ensuring optimal server performance, ultra-low latency, and reliable hardware for every customer.
Policy Navigation
To maintain guaranteed high clock speeds, sub-10ms ping times, and unthrottled gigabit bandwidth for all hosted game instances, API Hosting enforces a Fair Use Policy. This prevents individual instances from monopolizing shared physical node CPUs or network switches.
1. Purpose & Scope
This Fair Use Policy defines the parameters for acceptable hardware, storage, and network resource consumption across shared game hosting nodes, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and cloud instances.
While we offer unmetered bandwidth and high allocation limits on RAM and storage, overall physical node health relies on fair resource sharing among all tenant instances.
2. Acceptable Use
Our services are engineered and optimized for standard server hosting workflows, including:
- Running active game server daemons (e.g. Paper Spigot, Rust Dedicated, Palworld, ARK, TF2).
- Voice communications servers (e.g., TeamSpeak, Mumble) and Discord administration bots.
- Backend web API attachments, MySQL databases, and mod/plugin management repositories tied directly to your game server.
3. Resource Limits & Allocation
To maintain fair CPU performance and disk I/O speed, instances must operate within normal resource thresholds:
Sustained 100% core utilization for over 4 continuous hours on shared game nodes (e.g., running heavy render engines or non-game compute jobs) is considered abnormal and may be throttled.
High sustained disk write bursts exceeding 500 MB/s or storing non-game personal media files, video archives, or public file mirrors is prohibited.
4. Network Usage & Bandwidth
All game servers include unmetered bandwidth on shared 1 Gbps or 10 Gbps uplink ports. However, bandwidth must be utilized solely for game client connections, plugin downloads, and server updates.
- Peer-to-Peer (P2P): Operating BitTorrent nodes, public file sharing mirrors, or video streaming relays is prohibited on shared game plans.
- Traffic Amplification: Sourcing high-frequency outbound UDP/TCP flooding or open DNS resolvers is strictly monitored and blocked.
5. Prohibited Activities
- Cryptocurrency mining (e.g., Monero, XMRig, Bitcoin node scanning).
- Distributed compute projects (e.g. Folding@Home, AI LLM model training).
- Stress testing, booter/stresser tool hosting, or network attack scripts.
- Unsolicited commercial spamming or port scanning execution.
6. Enforcement & Mitigation
Our automated telemetry systems monitor node stability 24/7. When an instance exceeds fair resource thresholds:
- Warning Notification: Our team will issue a ticket notifying you of high CPU or I/O consumption and suggest optimization tips.
- Automatic Throttling: If CPU saturation persists and impacts neighbor instances, the process priority may be lowered dynamically.
- Temporary Process Pause: Extreme resource abuse or prohibited activity results in immediate container suspension until investigated.
7. Contact & Custom Upgrades
If your game community or esports project requires dedicated CPU cores, custom network ports, or high-throughput bandwidth without fair-use throttling, our engineers can provision dedicated bare-metal hardware.
